Professor Brian Tackett, the Robert and Sally Weist Assistant Professor of ChemicalEngineering at Purdue University, has been recognised with the 2025 ACS Spring Energyand Fuels Division R. A. Glenn Award for the most innovative paper at the meeting. Hedirects research on electrocatalytic routes for transforming CO and light hydrocarbons intovalue-added fuels and chemicals, employing surface-sensitive spectroscopy and highthroughputflow reactors. Since joining Purdue University in 2021, he has published inleading journals such as Nature Catalysis, Accounts of Chemical Research, and ACSCatalysis, advancing electron-driven pathways toward a circular carbon economy.
